If you and I could walk again the places we once knew
It would bring me such happiness to walk again with you;
Chattering together, so happy and care free,
The days of our teenage years leave me with such happy memories.
The time we spent together, when the war had just begun;
Being evacuated so far from family and home.
We settled with a family who made us family too,
Such happy times we had together and the love I had for you.
This year has been so tearful, for the sister that I loved
Was taken by an angel to a heavenly home above.
Now when I look up to the sky and a shining light I see
I know that it's my sister looking down at me.
Lovingly composed by Mary Rodham, aged 44 (plus a bit more)
